I did this for my semester project Fall 2011. I found my instructions at www.instructables.com and you can probably find the same instructions just by google searching "How to make a Ruben's Tube". It was really fun and I did have to improvise for a few things. If you have any questions you can just ask and if I can I will answer:). Basically what happens is that since sound is different variation in air pressure where there is higher pressure it pushes the flame more out and makes it taller and so on. There are regulations on propane pressure so make sure to check if you plan on making one. Also make sure no oxygen can reach the propane befoer it gets through the holes on the top of the tube otherwise it could be dangerous. Thanks for watching:) ~Trina
