How it works:
“PAC Tracks LIVE!” works by combining talent and resources from the Artist, their Sponsor (optional),
and the Performing Arts Center to present a low-cost live concert recording opportunity at the PAC. The
ticket revenue is split between the PAC and the Artist (50/50 ticket share).
Through “PAC Tracks LIVE!” the Artist gets the opportunity to present their music to a larger audience
and the PAC meets its goal of promoting live music and local musicians. It is a “win-win” collaboration
that fosters the live music scene in our community and provides the Artist with a studio-quality multitrack
recording of a concert production fit for videotape, should they choose.
Artists begin by submitting their CD’s for approval. Applications will be reviewed and approved based
primarily on the applicant’s potential ability to draw an audience.
The recording and insurance fee for the concert (paid by the Artist or their Sponsor) doubles as the
“seed money” for promotional materials. The cost for the recording and insurance is $500 and must be
submitted in order to secure a date at the PAC.
The PAC will leverage the seed money to produce 5000 full color postcards and 20 full-color 11x17
posters (using art created for or supplied by the Artist) to promote the concert. The artist is responsible
for distribution. The Artist and/or their Sponsor may elect to use PAC direct-mail services with no setup
fee but will be responsible for postage. (Willingness to promote via direct mail will increase the
potential for the application to be approved…) The PAC will include the concert in its weekly “GO!
Magazine” ad in the Wenatchee World as well as through weekly radio spots, electronic billboard, and
other routine PAC promotional outlets.
“PAC Tracks LIVE!” puts the production and promotional power of the Performing Arts Center to work
for the local live music industry in a cost effective and collaborative way. What was once an “out of
reach” performance experience for most local musicians is now a viable opportunity to be showcased on
the best stage in NCW!
