Here they are – the top 10 Battle of the Band’s 2010 semi-finalists!!! Steev Turner and Justice for All, Audio Arcade, Mugsy’s Groove, Ghost Power!!!, Faith in Failure, Poor Folks Live Well, Fill the Silence, Andrew Thompson Trio, Face 4 Radio, and Not All There. The Semi-Finals Round takes place at Caffe Mela starting at 12 noon on Saturday, August 28.  
The Battle of the Bands entry deadline has been extended to August 15!  Please pick up a submission form at Caffe Mela, the PAC, Chinook Music, or Avalon and get your CD’s in! All Proceeds from the Battle of the Bands go to support the Battle and the live music scene in Wenatchee! Saturday, May 8th at the Woods House Conservatory: Experience the sounds, feel and joy of making an instrument play. All ages, who are interested can hear, hold and experiment with making a sound on musical instruments. Just holding a musical instrument answers questions for some students. How big is it? How heavy is it? Where do your hands go when you play it?

Apple Blossom's "Rock on the Ave."  is back.  This year, Seattle's "Stripped" provides music at the Convention Center in Wenatchee.  Doors open at 8:00 pm with music starting at 9:00 pm.  You must be 21 or over to attend.  Tickets are $5 and  can be purchased in advance at appleblossom.org or at the door.  This event is sponsored by Verizon Wireless.
  The Icicle Creek Piano Trio is the ensemble in residence at the Icicle Creek Music Center, a non-profit organization in Leavenworth, Washington. Jennifer Caine (violin), Oksana Ezhokina (piano) and Sally Singer (cello) have released their first recordings to great reviews and it is truly stunning.  Chamber music lovers will find their fabulous playing and interpretations of Ravel and Schubert piano trios well worth the investment.
Directed by Icicle Creek Music Center's resident pianist Oksana Ezhokina, ICMC's Piano Festival annually welcomes ten to twelve advanced pre-professional pianists for an intensive week of private lessons, masterclasses, and recitals. 2010 faculty are Jane Coop, Christina Dahl and Xak Bjerken. The 2010 Piano Festival is January 12-16, 2010. Piano Festival ends with a Piano Festival Faculty Concert Friday January 15, 2010 7:00 PM in Sleeping Lady Chapel Theater and a Young Artist Concert Saturday January 16, 2010 7:00 PM in Canyon Wren Recital Hall.

There is a new venue in Leavenworth. the Hinterhof is a 3,000 square foot courtyard with an elevated stage, dance floor area and beer garden style seating. we are looking for a variety of music acts to play and entertain. Our license allows food and adult beverage sales. We are open to revenue sharing ideas with musicians for a mutually beneficial experience -especially if you have a local following to help us introduce our courtyard to the locals.
