The Battle of the Bands entry deadline has been extended to August 15! Please pick up a submission form at Caffe Mela, the PAC, Chinook Music, or Avalon and get your CD’s in!
All Proceeds from the Battle of the Bands go to support the Battle and the live music scene in Wenatchee!
Once again, a great package of prizes is available and the event promises to be one to remember.

Battle of the Bands 2010 General Information
We are pleased to announce that Eric Frank is the Official Sound Engineer for the Battle of the Bands, Hits of the Harvest, and Caffe’ Mela Trophy Handoff Concert Spectacular! Also…. 100% of the Battle of the Bands voting and entry fee revenue goes to sustaining the Battle and promoting local live music! July 31 = Deadline for Entries August 1-14 = Review of entries by semi-finalist selection committee August 15 = Announcement of top 10 semi-finalists August 28 = Semi-finals round: Top 10 bands will have 30 minutes (including setup, strike, and sound check) to perform for the judges, 3-4 songs only, onstage at Caffe Mela. Audience members can text to vote or manually vote ($5 per vote) for their favorite band. End of day, the top 5 finalists are announced. September 18 = Hits of the Harvest in the Courtyard at Taste of the Harvest: The 5 finalists will perform on the Caffe Mela Courtyard Stage in the afternoon as part of the entire day’s entertainment. The winning band and 2 runners up will be announced at end of entertainment. Winning band determined by $5.00 text to vote or manual vote and polling will be open all day with a running total per band displayed and updated throughout the day. Judges will each have 100 votes to allocate. The Handoff Show featuring “The Paperboys” will be heavily promoted and tickets will be sold at the PAC kiosk for this event (early purchase discount?) as well as for other events. October 16 (or TBA) = Battle of the Bands Trophy Handoff and concert featuring “The Paperboys” with special guests “Red Means Go” (last year’s winner), with the opening band to be the 2010 winner. This event is produced by Caffe Mela and the Wenatchee Downtown Association in conjunction with the PAC. The new winner keeps the Battle of the Bands trophy for the next year to be displayed at concerts and at Caffe Mela. 1st Prize: Open at the 2010 Handoff concert Open for the headliner in the 2011 Handoff concert Paid High-Profile Gig at Apple Blossom Festival 2011 in Memorial Park Paig Gig at Centennial Park in summer 2011 as part of Summer Music in the Park series Hold and display the “Battle of the Bands” trophy for one year Gear/Instruments and/or service prizes TBA
